Job summary

Carnell Support Services is seeking an experienced HGV Operative to support highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will transport plant, materials and equipment, work with site teams to ensure timely delivery, and uphold safety standards on every job.

The role requires a Class 1 HGV licence, Driver CPC, CSCS Labourer Card, and willingness to travel and stay away from home as needed. Travel, nights away and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence and Driver CPC required.
• CSCS Labourer Card may be required on site.
• Experience operating HGV vehicles in construction/highways/civil engineering preferred.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of highways and infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Transport plant, materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with on-site colleagues to support project delivery.
• Carry out vehicle checks and keep accurate records.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
