Job summary

E3recruitment is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Plant Driver to transport heavy plant and equipment across the UK from Worcester, with nationwide travel. You will join a professional team delivering machinery safely and on schedule while supporting a long-term career path.

Role includes day shifts Monday to Friday, overtime opportunities, and accommodation provided if required. Training, pension and career development are offered within a market-leading specialist.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV with CPC licence required.
• Experience operating HGV Low Loader/Flat Bed vehicles.
• Knowledge of loading, unloading and securing plant machinery.
• Strong time management and clear communication skills.
• Good understanding of road safety and transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Low Loader transporting machinery to sites across the UK.
• Load, unload and securely restrain a variety of large machines/equipment.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is maintained to a high standard.
• Deliver equipment safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Co-ordinate with site teams to plan deliveries and collections.
• Comply with road traffic laws and health and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Plant Driver

• Safely operate a HGV Low Loader transporting machinery to sites across the UK
• Load, unload and securely restrain a variety of large machines/equipment
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is maintained to a high standard
• Deliver equipment safely, efficiently and on schedule
• Comply with all road traffic legislation and company health and safety procedures
• Work closely with site teams to coordinate deliveries and collections

Requirements for the HGV Class 1 Plant Driver

• Valid HGV commercial driving licence with CPC
• Experience operating HGV Low Loader Flat Bed vehicles
• Knowledge of loading, unloading and securing a wide range of plant machinery
• Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations
• Excellent time management and communication skills
