Job summary

Uniserve is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver to safely and efficiently deliver customer goods across multiple locations, typically 5–6 drops per day. Overnight stays of 2–3 nights per week may be required.

Essential qualifications include a valid Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with strong knowledge of the UK road network and Driver Hours regulations. You will work independently, communicate effectively, and uphold excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and Drivers’ Hours regulations.
• Ability to work independently with time management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep vehicles roadworthy.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries, typically 5–6 per day.
• Deliver goods safely and meet customer requirements.
• Accurately complete documentation using handheld devices.
• Adhere to Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Maintain load security and carry out load checks.
• Provide professional service and act as company ambassador.
• Report defects or incidents promptly and keep vehicle clean.
• Overnight stays may be required 2–3 nights per week.
