Job summary

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a Peebles-based agricultural and food distribution operation. This ongoing, ad-hoc role starts early with 5:00am–6:00am shifts, and includes manual loading and Moffett forklift use, plus weekly pay and strong safety standards.

Candidates must have a UK Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and at least 2 years of HGV experience; Moffett experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC certificate.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience.
• Moffett experience is essential.
• No more than 9 penalty points; no DD/DR/CD/IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally.
• Deliver agricultural and food products to customers and sites.
• Manually load/unload goods where required.
• Operate a Moffett forklift for pallets.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and ensure loads are secure.
