Job summary

Driver Hire Bedford and Huntingdon in West Lothian is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for ad hoc and part-time assignments across client sites. The role offers flexible shifts, with some full-time hours possible but not guaranteed, and an opportunity to build a varied driving portfolio.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points – minor offences only.
• No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport legislation.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work across different assignments.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries across client sites.
• General haulage and pallet network work.
• A-to-B vehicle movements.
• Loading and unloading duties where required.
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork.
• Following transport regulations, compliance procedures and health and safety requirements.
