Job summary

William West & Sons, part of The Lockwood Group, is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to join our expanding team in the UK. We offer training, support and career development, with a minimum 44 hours per week and a clearly defined pay scale.

Role features Monday to Friday day shifts, modern vehicles, safe delivery, and a focus on customer service. We provide 20 days annual leave, 8 bank holidays, pension and on-site parking, plus full PPE and a uniform.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.

Responsibilities

• Haulage work with modern vehicles.
• Deliver goods safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with Transport Team.

Pay & Benefits

Range based on the below:

Minimum of 44 hours per week (basic): £31,574.40 (£13.80 per hour)

Average of 55 hours per week: £39,468.00

• 44 hour basic week: £607.20 - additional hours may be required to suit business needs

The Role
