Job summary

Evri Gatwick depot in Crawley is seeking HGV Class 1 Day Drivers to join our growing team. You will drive long routes, collect and deliver parcels, and update paperwork while supporting depot staff.

Full-time shifts are 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, with 06:00 start times and competitive pay (£17.08 per hour with overtime £25.62). Benefits include 32 days leave and pension life assurance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements.
• CPC and digital tachograph.
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome, but all drivers will undertake a short driving assessment.
• Reasonable physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Drive longer routes, ensuring safe, efficient driving from depots to clients and other sites in the Evri network.
• Ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely; update paperwork; assist depot staff with heavier items as needed.

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities forHGV Class 1 Day Drivers(or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growingGatwick depot. Dayshifts typically start 06:00 am

WhatYou’llDo:

OurHGV Class 1 driversusually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in theEVRinetwork.You’llensure parcels are collected and deliveredsafely;paperwork updated andassistdepot staff with heavier items from time to time. This will include pallet truck and tail lift work. We know the great British roads and weatherdon’talways play nicely, soyou’llneed to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts: 40 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 days (including weekends).
