Job summary

Evri is hiring HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for the Gatwick depot in Crawley. Shifts run overnight, typically starting between 00:00 and 02:00, with full-time contracts of around 40 hours across 5 shifts in 7 days.

You will drive long routes, ensure safe delivery of parcels, complete paperwork, and assist with heavier loads when needed. A driving assessment is required for all applicants.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements and CPC.
• Good level of physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 on long routes between depots and clients.
• Ensure parcels are collected/delivered safely and paperwork updated.
• Assist depot staff with heavier items and adapt to route changes.

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing Gatwick depot.

Nightshifts typically start between 00:00 and 02:00.

What You’ll Do:

Our HGV Class 1 drivers usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in the EVRi network. You’ll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weather don’t always play nicely, so you’ll need to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full‑time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekends. Full time is any 5 shifts out of 7, rotas are given in advance.

What We Can Offer You:

£18.55 per hour with an overtime rate of £27.83 once fulltime hours are completed.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• You’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. Newly‑qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Reasonable physical fitness
