Job summary

Workchain is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to support transport and warehouse operations in Ledbury. This temporary, days-based role requires a dependable driver with trunking experience who can work safely and efficiently.

The role involves trunking work, vehicle checks, securing loads and completing documentation while maintaining high safety standards. Day shifts and local duties are expected, with weekly pay and good visibility to local employers.

Qualifications

• Current HGV Class 1 driving entitlement.
• Previous trunking experience.
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours requirements.
• Safe, responsible and reliable approach to driving.
• Ability to complete paperwork and follow instructions.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work days and meet operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking work in line with planned schedules.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey.
• Ensure loads are secured safely and correctly.
• Complete delivery and transport documentation accurately.
• Follow road safety, site and company procedures.
• Maintain professional standards when dealing with customers, colleagues and other road users.
• Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly.
