Job Description:

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Chesterfield area. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team on days.

Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 7am and 8am (average 10-hour shift).

Job Type : Temp to perm or permanent.

The role:

• Conducting bulk collections adhering to scheduled runs, involving 3-4 runs on average per day.
• Safely operating a Class 1 vehicle with curtain side trailers.
• Ensuring timely deliveries and collections according to the assigned routes.
• The role primarily focuses on pallet work with all fork on/fork off operations on a curtainsider.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 3 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be accustomed to using a curtainside vehicle.
• Be proficient with the use of straps.
