Job description

Menzies Distribution is looking for an experienced HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of products on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers, providing a first-class service with our team in Coalville. The night shift includes the use of a Moffett Truck, supporting our customer in vehicle glass repair and replacement deliveries.

*** Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of a Counterbalance licence; however, we can provide full FLT training for the right applicant, with a contractual agreement that if you terminate your contract within 2 years, payment will be reimbursed. ***

What You Really Want To Know:

• An additional bonus of over £2,000 per annum for using a Moffett Licence will be paid.
• Shift pattern: Sunday to Thursday.
• Start times: 22:00-01:00.
• Holiday allowance: 28 days including bank holidays.
• Overtime is available.
• Onsite parking.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice standards, delivering and collecting to/from customer premises or other MDS locations.
• Delivering products on behalf of MDS and its customers.
• Using electronic POD and up-to-date technology (full training provided).
• Assisting with loading and unloading.
• Using a Moffett truck (night shift).

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements:

• A full UK C+E licence.
• At least 12 months of previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Excellent driving skills.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and WTD regulations.
