Job summary

Culina Group is hiring a HGV driver for early shifts in the Contract Logistics division. Start times range from 4am to 7am, with 4 on 4 off patterns. You will deliver to customer premises and regional depots, report delays, complete paperwork and maintain safety, including tachograph compliance.

The role requires a valid C+E licence, CPC, and awareness of Driver Hours. On‑site health and safety responsibilities apply with opportunities for benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E licence required and current UK driver CPC.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no DD/DR convictions.
• Knowledge of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries as backdoor tip.
• Occasional night out may be required.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start and promptly.
• Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards; adhere to tachograph rules.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for unit and trailer, including temperature checks when needed.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, appearance and customer service.
