Job summary

Culina Group in Banbury is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our contract logistics team. This permanent, full-time role supports a 24/7 operation delivering palletised goods nationwide to Regional Distribution Centres.

You will drive safely, maintain professional customer service and complete paperwork with PODs signed and returned; shifts are 4on4off, 06:00–18:00, averaging 34.5–46 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; new pass drivers welcome.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no DD or DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on demand.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start.
• Complete all paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow company procedures including tachograph rules and health & safety standards.
• Maintain unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
