Job summary

Culina Logistics in Market Drayton is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to support our chilled operation and deliver to UK retailers. This is a permanent, full-time role offering stability and the chance to join a safety‑conscious transport team, with 4 on 4 off shifts and flexible start times.

You will carry out safe, professional nationwide deliveries, complete pallet deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, perform daily vehicle checks and record PODs.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and DCPC Tachograph cards required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points, no DD/DR convictions.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Role may occasionally require handballing; limited in scope.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Manage working time under tachograph rules.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain professional behaviour, appearance and customer service.
• Night-out runs may be available.

Job Description

We're looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Market Drayton, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You'll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

We are looking for drivers working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern

We offer flexibility in shift patterns with start times available across Mornings and afternoons, let us know what you're looking for and our Transport team will be more than happy to discuss with you, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay rates What you'll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
• Role may occasionally require handballing however this is limited
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
