Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established client in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The role offers £17.15 per hour with Monday to Friday shifts, ongoing work and weekly pay, plus genuine temp-to-perm opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have a valid UK Category C+E licence, CPC & Tachograph cards, at least two years of Class 1 experience and a good command of English. Training provided and ample on-site facilities available.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence.
• Minimum two years' Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements.
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking routes between depots and perform trailer swaps.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure loads are secured safely and correctly.
• Adhere to road traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £17.15 per hour, Monday to Friday working, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine temp-to-perm opportunities within a reputable logistics operation.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00-07:00 or 12:00-16:00

Rates of Pay

• £17.15 per hour - basic rate

Day-to-Day Duties

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules

Essential Skills
