Job summary

Blue Arrow HS is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for an ongoing/temp-to-perm role based in North Tyneside (NE12). The job involves delivering refrigerated loads across Scotland, the North West and the Midlands, with shifts on a rolling rota and 9–12 hour day or night patterns.

You must hold a full UK Class C+E licence with valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, have a maximum of 6 points, and pass drugs/alcohol clearance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Licence: maximum 6 points.
• Assessment and drugs/alcohol clearance test required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver refrigerated loads across Scotland, North West and Midlands.
• Operate on a rota-based schedule with 9–12 hour shifts.
• Start times vary as the operation runs 24/7.

Pay rates:

Mon to Sat Weekdays: 06:00 - 18:00 = £14.01ph

Mon to Sat Weeknights: 18:00 - 06:00 = £17.51ph

Sunday = £28.02

OT activated after 39 weekly hours = £21.02

Shift Patterns

• Shifts: Rota based - 4 or 5 shifts between Sunday and Saturday on rolling rota
• Average Shift Length: 9 -12 hours depending on destination
• Start Times: Will vary between days and nights as operation is 24/7
