Job summary

Culina Logistics in Tilbury is hiring professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support our chilled operation and deliver to retailers across the UK. This is a permanent, full-time role offering stable hours and a supportive transport team that values safe driving and high service standards.

You will perform nationwide palletised deliveries, complete daily vehicle checks, and maintain accurate records and PODs, with shifts that may include nights and weekends depending on requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid C+E Licence and Driver CPC/DCPC.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD or DR codes.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Night shift support for trunking to Culina Sites if required.
• No cage work or tipping; adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
• Report delays or load discrepancies to Transport team at shift start; update logs and PODs.
• Follow company procedures and tachograph rules; manage driving time.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects; maintain temperature checks when needed.
• Maintain professional behaviour, appearance and customer service.
• No planned night outs.

Job Description

We're looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Tilbury, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You'll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Pay rates

• 4 on 4 off - £35499.30 basic salary
• 5 on 3 off - £44252.37 basic salary

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with shift allowances premiums and the opportunity for overtime, drivers have the potential to earn up £52680 with OTE.

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
• Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites
• No Cage work or Tipping
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• No Planned Night Outs

Qualifications

What we're looking for

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 3months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience required
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
