Job summary

Culina Logistics in Stafford is seeking professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support our Chilled operation and deliver to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent, full-time role focusing on safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards within a supportive transport team.

You’ll join a team valuing high professional standards, with 5 on 3 off shift patterns (Days or Nights) and start times flexibly discussed. Full-time stability and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and DCPC with Digital Tachograph cards.
• At least 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on licence; obey Drivers’ Hours rules.
• Commitment to health, safety, and on-site procedures.
• Excellent communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide palletised goods deliveries to regional distribution centres.
• Report delays or issues to the Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and sign PODs; perform daily vehicle checks.
• Maintain professional customer service and adhere to SOPs.

Job Description

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Stafford, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

We are looking for drivers working a 5 on 3 off shift pattern either Days or Nights. We offer flexibility in shift patterns with start times available, let us know what you’re looking for and our Transport team will be more than happy to discuss with you, we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay rates

Salary- £42,204.37pa plus shift premiums depending on shift hours

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
• Role may occasionally require handballing however this is limited
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
