Job summary

Culina Group Limited, operating Culina Logistics in Tilbury, is hiring professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support our Chilled operation and deliver to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent, full-time role focusing on safe driving, reliability and customer service.

Join a supportive transport team with 4 on/4 off patterns or other shifts, earning shift allowances and overtime. Must hold C+E, DCPC and tachograph cards, with up to date driving credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence, no DD or DR convictions.
• Valid C+E licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Excellent communication and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Night shift trunking support to Culina Sites when required.
• No Cage work or Tipping; report delays and load discrepancies to Transport Team.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure PODs are signed.

Job Description

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Tilbury, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

• 4 on 4 off – 00:00 – 03:00 start times
• 4 on 4 off – 12:00 – 15:00 start times
• 4 on 4 off – 17:00 – 20:00 start times

Pay rates

• 4 on 4 off - £35499.30 basic salary
• 5 on 3 off - £44252.37 basic salary

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with shift allowances premiums and the opportunity for overtime, drivers have the potential to earn up £52680 with OTE.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
• Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites
• No Cage work or Tipping
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• No Planned Night Outs

What we’re looking for

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 3 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience required
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.

Additional Information

• Premiums:
  • £1,000/year for working every Saturday or Sunday
  • £2,000/year if you work both
  • £10 per shift (starts between 12:00–19:59)
  • £15 per shift (starts between 20:00–03:59)
  • Compensation pay after 11 hours

  • £100 annual “Nil Infringement” Bonus
