Job summary

Monks Contractors Ltd is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to collect waste and recyclables from customers and transport to designated sites. You will operate a walking floor trailer safely while meeting customer requirements.

This night-out role runs Monday to Friday, with hybrid remote work in Blackburn BB2 7LB and on-site parking. Applicants should be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and speak English.

Pay: £900.00 - £1,100.00 per week

Job Title - Class 1 HGV Driver

Rate of Pay - £15.25 per hour plus £10.00 per day meal allowance / £25.00 per nightout

Location - Mellor Brook, Lancashire

Responsible to: Transport Supervisor

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for collecting waste / recyclable materials from our customers and delivering this to the requested sites. You will drive and operate a walking floor trailer using safe and efficient driving techniques in line with the customers' requirements.

This role is a night out role and requires the candidate to be comfortable tramping from Monday - Friday.

Candidate Duties;

• Observing health and safety requirements
• be responsible for the safety of self and members of the public
• Geographical knowledge to ensure efficient and effective travelling

Candidate Requirements;

• Class 1 HGV Driving License
• Full CPC obtained
• Experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card
• Working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive
• Experience of walking floors
• Understanding of Health and Safety obligations
