Job summary

Jark PLC in Blackburn, Lancashire, is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Driver for a temp-to-perm role with Monday-Friday work and occasional overnight stays. Start times from 5:00am; pay £15.50 per hour, £17.40 including holiday pay.

You will operate Class 1 HGVs, complete deliveries, perform safety checks, and stay overnight when required with a £25 overnight allowance. Immediate start and paid breaks offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Knowledge of HGV regulations and health & safety.
• Able to work Monday to Friday with occasional overnight stays.
• Reliable, punctual and professional with good communication.

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Blackburn, Lancashire, on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, with the possibility of 1-2 overnight stays per week when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles on assigned routes.
• Complete deliveries and collections safely and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or issues.
• Comply with all relevant road safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete all required delivery and vehicle paperwork accurately.
• Stay overnight when required, with a £25 tax-free overnight allowance.
• Take all legally required breaks, which are paid.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles.
• Good understanding of HGV driving regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional overnight stays.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Good communication skills.
