Evri is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver in Leicester to operate night shifts on a 45-hour week. You will drive a Volvo truck, enjoy a modern fleet, and work Monday to Friday with shifts typically starting at 5/6pm. You’ll be home after each 9-hour shift and contribute to timely deliveries to regional hubs.

Daily inspections, defect reporting, and occasional loading/unloading duties are part of the role. The company offers 28 days annual leave and clear career progression within a leading parcel

Qualificações

• Class 1 driving licence as a minimum.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to safe use of the roads.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles.
• Trunking to regional hubs on the night shift and be home after each 9-hour shift.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
• Scan consignments and drive pallet trucks when required.

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and9-hourshifts per day which typically start at5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
