Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire. The role offers Monday to Friday work with day or night shifts and routes involving curtain-sider trailers. Permanent opportunities may arise.

Requirements include a valid UK Category CE licence, CPC card and tachograph card, and at least six months of Class 1 experience, with limited penalty points. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE licence.
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of six months' continuous Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements.
• No major endorsement codes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, completing three to five trunk runs per day.
• Operating curtain-sider trailers and securing loads correctly, including awkward loads.
• Making timely deliveries to various destinations.
• Communicating effectively with the transport team.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and working time directives.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based at East Midlands Gateway , Derbyshire .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent position.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .

Rates of Pay:£17.08 per hour (06:00 - 18:00)£21.35 per hour (18:00 - 06:00)Shift Pattern:Monday to FridayAM and PM shifts availableStart times between 04:00 and 06:00 or 14:00 and 16:00
