Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for our Carlisle, Cumbria client. This role offers Monday to Friday work, with shifts starting early and regular trunking depot-to-depot deliveries across the region.

Immediate starts are available and there are opportunities for overtime. You will need a valid Category C+E licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, and a clean licence with limited penalty points.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations.
• Adhering to road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Communicating effectively with transport office and customers.
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance urgently.
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Carlisle, Cumbria.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £17.00 per hour, Monday to Friday working, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Category C+E Driver, Class 1 Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Trunk Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• AM starts between 04:00 - 06:00
