Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for adhoc day and night trunking shifts based just outside Carlisle. Flexible adhoc shifts, day and night work, and clean trunking with no handball.

You’ll join a reputable local business and have the freedom to fit work around your lifestyle. Requirements include a valid Class 1 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and a minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) trunking shifts in a flexible ad hoc pattern.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and road safety regulations.
• Complete accurate vehicle checks and keep logs up to date.
• Maintain professional conduct and excellent reliability.

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

Day Shifts

• £15.20 per hour – First 40 hours
• £17.00 per hour – After 40 hours

Night Shifts

• £16.50 per hour – First 40 hours
• £17.00 per hour – After 40 hours

Weekend Rates

• Saturday: £17.00 per hour
• Sunday: £18.00 per hour

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience preferred
• Reliable, professional and positive attitude
