Job summary

Drivers Plus Limited is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for Curtain Sider and Double Decker operations based in Bradford (BD6). The role offers Monday–Friday work with early starts and long shifts, 12 hours approx, and 1–3 drops per shift on full-load pallet line deliveries.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of Class 1 experience, Curtain Sider familiarity, a CE licence, CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card, with a clean licence and a recent reference.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Recent Curtain Sider experience required; Double Decker preferred.
• CE Licence required; Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card essential.
• No more than 6 points on licence; recent employment reference.
• Strong timekeeping, health & safety and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Start times between 04:30 and 06:30; shifts ~12 hours.
• Approximately 1–3 drops per shift; full-load deliveries to Pallet Line hubs.
• Trailer swapping; loads offloaded by forklift; no handball.
• Load security including strapping and curtains; curtains secured during transit.

HGV Class 1 Day Driver – Curtain Sider / Double Decker

£16.61–£17.50 per hour | PAYE | Day Work | Bradford (BD6)

Drivers Plus are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Day Drivers with experience operating Curtain Sider and Double Decker vehicles to work for our prestigious client based in Bradford (BD6).

This is a Monday–Friday role offering regular work for professional and reliable drivers looking for an ongoing opportunity.

The Role

• £17.50 per hour
• Monday–Friday operation
• Start times between 04:30 and 06:30
• Shifts are approximately 12 hours
• Approximately 1–3 drops per shift
• Full-load deliveries to Pallet Line hubs
• Trailer swapping
• No handball required
• All loads are offloaded by forklift truck (FLT)
• Drivers are responsible for load security, including strapping and operating curtains

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Day Drivers who have:

• A minimum of 1 years' Class 1 driving experience
• Recent experience operating Curtain Sider vehicles
• Experience with Double Decker vehicles preferred
• A valid CE Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• A recent employment reference
• Experience with load security, including strapping and curtains
• Good communication skills
• A strong commitment to timekeeping, health & safety and professional standards
