Job summary

IDrive Recruitment Ltd in Maidstone is recruiting for Class 1/2/7.5 HGV drivers. You will perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, uphold safety standards and coordinate with dispatchers to deliver to schedule.

The role requires a valid UK Driving Licence, CPC, and Tacho Card, plus reliable timekeeping and proven safe HGV operation. Pay starts at £16 per hour PAYE or £20 per hour Umbrella, with typical shifts of 8 or 10 hours.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence required.

• Reliable and good timekeeping essential.
• Experience operating a HGV safely and within policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections as required by policy.
• Able to report safety issues on standard reports.
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1/2/7.5 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post-operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

£16 PAYE min

£20 UMBRELLA min
