Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver in Alfreton to manage trunk runs of temperature-controlled goods. Responsibilities include safe driving and maintaining delivery records. Candidates must hold a full UK Drivers Licence with C+E entitlement and have at least 12 months of driving experience. The hourly rate ranges from £16.25 to £21.61, with flexible working hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Class 1 Driver, looking for hours which suit you?

• Trunking to RDC or NDC, no multi drop
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers
• Maintain refrigeration of the loads (no setting or adjusting)
• Supervising unloading / loading (no Manual Handling)
• Maintaining delivery records
• Maintaining drivers hours records
• Personal safety and that of others during the delivery process
• Safe and fuel-efficient driving
• Customer Service
• Brand ambassador

You will be completing trunk runs of temperature controlled pharmaceutical goods, unloading at delivery point without managing the load.

You will be required to seal and unseal the back doors; all unloading will be the responsibility of a designated team member and carried out at the designated points.

You will be expected to monitor the refrigeration unit at each destination without changing any controls and reporting any potential temperature issues to the depot immediately.

Hourly Rate: The salary for this role is between £16.25 and £21.61 per hour. You will also be paid a minimum of 9.6hrs per day with an overtime rate in effect for all hours after this. Plus 28 days of holiday pro rata. or £19.66 per hour Days / £26.14 per hour Nights if paid by our nominated Umbrella Provider. If this role is of interest, please send us your CV. Working Hours: Your hours of work are flexible depending on your own circumstances. Start time between 04:00 and 10:00 averaging 10-12 hours per day.

Experience & Qualifications

• Have a full UK Drivers Licence with a C+E entitlement.

• Have a strong and coherent understanding of driver’s working hours and working time directive.
• Have a Digital Tacho Card (Digicard)
• Have a valid Driver CPC Card
