Job summary

IDrive Recruitment in Guildford is seeking reliable HGV drivers for flexible, ad-hoc work. You must hold a UK Driving Licence, CPC Card and Tacho Card, plus proven experience operating an HGV safely and being punctual.

You will liaise with dispatchers to follow delivery schedules, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and report safety issues. Pay starts at £16 per hour (PAYE) or £20 per hour (Umbrella), with typical shifts of 8–10 hours.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence and CPC/Tacho cards required.
• Reliable, punctual and safe driver.
• Experience operating HGV in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers.
• Report safety issues on standard reports.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Job description

We are currently seeking HGV Drivers in and around Guildford for flexible and adhoc work.

You need:

• UK Driving Licence
• CPC Card
• Tacho Card
• Reliable and a good timekeeper
• Experience of operating a HGV in safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1/2/7.5 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post-operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

£16 PAYE min

£20 UMBRELLA min

MIN 8 OR 10HRS
