Job summary

IDrive Recruitment are seeking HGV Drivers in and around Guildford for flexible and adhoc work. The role requires UK driving licence, CPC, and tacho cards, with reliable timekeeping and safe HGV operation. Pay rates start at £16 PAYE per hour or £20 Umbrella, with a minimum of 8–10 hours per shift.

Ideal candidates can perform vehicle inspections, report safety issues, follow delivery schedules, and communicate effectively with dispatchers to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence required.
• CPC Card required.
• Tacho Card required.
• Reliable and a good timekeeper.
• Experience of operating a HGV in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle per company policy (tyre pressure, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, controls).
• Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Follow delivery schedules and instructions; liaise with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1/2/7.5 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post-operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

£16 PAYE min

£20 UMBRELLA min

MIN 8 OR 10HRS
