Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 3 years' Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (No DD, DR, or TT endorsements).
• ADR certification is desirable but not essential
• Previous FORS training (Safe Urban Driving or eLearning) is highly desirable, training provided to the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out UK-wide general haulage deliveries across various vehicle types (Flat Work, Curtainsider, Low Loader, Containers).
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure equipment is safe and roadworthy.
• Maintain tachograph records and comply with driver hours regulations.
• Ensure loads are securely restrained and handled safely.
• Communicate professionally with customers and the transport office.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our general haulage team. You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with UK transport regulations. Roles of this type occasionally involve multi-drop or distance work, depending on contract requirements.

• Being versatile to be able to carry out general haulage deliveries across the UK which include Flat Work, Curtainsider, Low Loader, Containers.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is safe and roadworthy
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and comply with driver hours regulations
