Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for an operation based in Stallingborough, UK.

You will drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK, handle a variety of freight, complete checks, and maintain safety while delivering to customer sites. The role is long-term temporary with a £17.50 hourly rate, 40–50 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, start times around 6am.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence and qualification

Job Description

I am Currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join an operation based in Stallingborough, working on behalf of a worldwide freight and logistics service.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular Class 1 work with a well-established operation handling a wide variety of freight and deliveries throughout the UK.

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a variety of loads to customers and sites across the UK.

You can expect to:

• Drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK
• Carry a variety of freight and loads
• Deliver to a wide range of locations and customer sites
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are operated safely
• Secure and transport loads in accordance with company procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and delivery sites
• Comply with all UK driving legislation, Working Time Regulations and drivers’ hours

Duration: The position is long term, ongoing

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £17.50 an hour and accrue up to 28 days paid holiday a year.Please note we do not offer sponsorship.

Working Hours: This role is Monday to Friday, 6am start averaging 40-50 hours a week.

Experience & Qualifications

For this position, you must have:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
• A minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 HGV driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of UK road networks
• Experience with tramping or trunking is desirable
• Experience working at a port would be an advantage
