Job summary

People Solutions in Widnes is seeking an HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver to join our established client in Widnes, Cheshire. You will drive Category CE vehicles, perform multi-delivery runs across the North West, and uphold safety and customer service standards.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate, regular weekly pay, and a Monday–Friday pattern with weekends free. A first-day induction and ongoing support help you settle quickly in a long-term position.

Qualifications

• Two years' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid ADR Licence.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete between two and four deliveries per day across the North West.
• Load and unload vehicles, including handball duties where required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service at every delivery location.
• Report delivery issues or customer concerns to the transport team.
• Complete all delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately.
• Comply with ADR, Driver Hours, and road transport regulations.

HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver - Widnes, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, ongoing work, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading transport and logistics company.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver or Tanker Driver.

Rates of Pay

• £19.00 per hour
• £25.00 night out allowance per night

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00
• Regular nights out required

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver, you will work:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between two and four deliveries per day across the North West
• Loading and unloading vehicles, including handball duties where required

• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location

• Complying with all ADR, Driver Hours, and road transport regulations

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of two years' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A valid ADR Licence
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsements)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work

Training

• First-day site assessment
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Previous experience completing HGV Class 1 multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous
• Previous ADR driving experience would be beneficial
