Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers for a prestigious client in the Leicester area. The roles offer ongoing work, ad-hoc shifts, and temp-to-perm contracts, typically 12 weeks. PAYE rate is £15-£18 per hour with holidays accrued.

Responsibilities include nationwide deliveries to RDCs for Class 1 and multi-drop palletised goods with pump truck/tail lift for unloading. Start times vary; shifts include day and night, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with Cat CE and/or C.
• No more than 6 points on licence; DG/DR endorsements not allowed.
• A valid CPC and tachograph card.
• Hi-Vis and safety boots required.

Job description

Salary: GBP15 - GBP18 per hour

Kenect are hiring HGV Class 1 + 2 drivers for their prestigious client based in the Leicester area.This client offersboth ongoing work and ad-hoc shifts, as well as temp-to-perm contracts for the right candidate, typically lasting 12 weeks. This work offers a fantastic PAYE pay rate of between £15 and £18, depending on experience PLUS holidays are accrued on top.

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you'll be responsible for driving curtain sider vehicles and/or box trailers doing nationwide deliveries to RDCs.

As a HGV Class 2 driver, you'll be responsible for doing multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods and using a pump truck/tail lift to unload.

The role:

• Temp to perm positions availabletypically after 12 weeks
• Day and night shiftsavailable
• Runs available between Monday andFriday
• Start times between 0500 – 0900 or 1600 – 2300
• Paid weekly at £15 – £18 per hour
• Minimum of 8hrs paid per shift
