Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers for roles based in Burton-on-Trent. The positions offer ongoing and ad-hoc shifts with PAYE pay rates from £17ph (Class 2) and £19ph+ (Class 1) plus accrued holidays.

Roles include day and night shifts with early start times; weekly pay and potential temp-to-perm progression after around 12 weeks. UK licence, CPC, tacho and safety gear are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Cat CE or Cat C.
• A valid CPC and tacho card.
• No more than 6 points on licence; DG/DR endorsements not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Drive curtain sider vehicles and/or box trailers delivering nationwide to RDCs.
• Perform multi‑drop deliveries of palletised goods and unload using a pump truck/tail lift where required.

HGV Class 1 & 2 Drivers (BURTON) Burton-On-Trent, England

Salary: GBP17 - GBP21 per hour

Kenect are hiring HGV Class 1 + 2 drivers for clients based in the Burton. There will be a range of both ongoing work and ad-hoc shifts.

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you'll be responsible for driving curtain sider vehicles and/or box trailers doing nationwide deliveries to RDCs. PAYE pay rate from £19ph upwards depending on experience plus holidays accrued separately.

As a HGV Class 2 driver, you'll be responsible for doing multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods and using a pump truck/tail lift to unload.PAYE pay rate from £17ph upwards depending on experience plus holidays accrued separately.

The role:

• Temp to perm positions availabletypically after 12 weeks
• Day and night shiftsavailable
• Runs available between Monday and Sunday
• Start times between 0500 – 0900 or 1600 – 2300
• Paid weekly at £15 – £22 per hour
• Nights out available but not mandatory
• Minimum of 8hrs paid per shift

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license with Cat CE or Cat C
• No more than 6 points on your licence - no DG/DR endorsements due to insurance purposes
• A valid CPC and tacho card
• Hi vis and safety boots
