Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for our clients in the Luton area. This temp-to-perm role offers day and night shifts, with weekly pay at £19 per hour and paid holidays separately.

Responsibilities include dropping and swapping trailers with no handball, and shifts can run up to 12 hours. A valid UK Cat CE licence, CPC, tacho card, and DBS/drug testing may be required. DBS checks and insurance constraints apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with Cat CE and CPC qualification.
• CPC and tacho card held and valid.
• DBS and drug/alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drop and swap trailers with no handball.
• Execute 8–12 hour shifts across day or night.
• Work 5 shifts per week with weekly pay.

Job description

Kenect are hiring HGV Class 1 drivers for clients based in theLuton area. For the right candidate the role will be a temp to permanent position.

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you'll be responsible for dropping and swapping trailers, with 5 shifts per week. PAYE pay rate from £19ph upwards depending on experience plus holidays accrued separately.

The role:

• Temp to perm positions available
• Day and night shifts available, pay rates varied depending
• Must be able to night out between 1 and 4 nights per week
• Runs available between Monday and Sunday
• Drop & Swap Trailers – No handball
• Up to 12 hour shifts
• Paid weekly at £19ph
• Minimum of 8hrs paid per shift

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license with Cat CE
• Willing to complete a DBS and drug and alcohol testing.
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence - no DD/DR or IN endorsements due to insurance purposes
• A valid CPC and tacho card
• Hi vis and safety boots
