Job summary

R&V is looking for Class 1 drivers for a well known and respected company in the United Kingdom. We really value our people and offer a friendly working environment, a focus on developing your skills and a competitive salary.

Deliveries include Company and Third Party products, with thorough paperwork and strict adherence to health, safety and tachograph rules. Shift patterns include 4 days on/4 days off or 5 days on/3 days off, with a 12-hour shift guarantee and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good level of English.
• Flexibility in starting times.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Company and Third Party products to locations per schedule.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Manage own working time according to Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Obtain PODs signed and returned.
• Meet fuel efficiency targets.

Job Description:

• Deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving
