Driver Hire Northampton & Daventry in Raunds is seeking an experienced HGV 7.5T (Cat C1) driver for a white goods distributor. You will deliver to residential properties and provide a first-class customer experience.

This temp-to-perm role offers weekly pay, training, and the chance of a permanent position. Shifts are Monday to Saturday with early starts and steady, reliable work.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 (7.5T) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' 7.5T driving experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and professionally.
• Delivering white goods to residential properties.
• Assisting with appliance installation (training provided).
• Working on single- or double-manned delivery routes.
• Using lifting equipment supplied by the company.
• Completing 10–25 deliveries per day.
• Providing outstanding customer service at every delivery.

Temp to Perm Opportunity

Driver Hire Kettering is currently recruiting an experienced HGV 7.5T (Cat C1) Driver for a well-established white goods distributor operating from Raunds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and customer-focused driver looking for ongoing work with the potential of a permanent position.

Location

Easily commutable from:

• Northampton
• Kettering
• Wellingborough
• Rushden
• Daventry

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Saturday
• 5 shifts per week on a rota basis
• 05:45 start time
• Minimum 8-hour shifts
• Longer days available during busy periods

Pay Rates

First 8 Hours

• £13.50 per hour PAYE
• £15.13 per hour PAYE Advanced

Overtime (After 8 Hours)

• £15.00 per hour PAYE
• £16.81 per hour PAYE Advanced

The Role

As a 7.5T Driver, you will be responsible for delivering home appliances directly to customers while providing a first-class customer experience.

Duties include:

• Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and professionally
• Delivering white goods to residential properties
• Assisting with appliance installation (full training provided if offered a permanent role)
• Working on single-manned or double-manned delivery routes
• Using lifting equipment supplied by the company
• Completing between 10 and 25 deliveries per day
• Providing outstanding customer service at every delivery

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

• Valid Category C1 (7.5T) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months' 7.5T driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No major motoring offences
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
