Job summary

Driver Hire Kettering is recruiting an experienced HGV 7.5T (Cat C1) Driver for a well-established white goods distributor operating from Raunds. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, customer-focused driver seeking ongoing work with the potential of a permanent position.

As a 7.5T Driver you will deliver home appliances to customers, provide a first-class service, and work a Monday–Saturday rota with 8-hour minimum shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 (7.5T) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months’ 7.5T driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No major motoring offences
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good level of physical fitness

Responsibilities

• Delivering home appliances directly to customers
• Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and professionally
• Assisting with appliance installation (training provided if permanent role)
• Working on single- or double-manned delivery routes
• Using lifting equipment supplied by the company
• Completing between 10 and 25 deliveries per day

Location

Easily commutable from:

• Northampton
• Kettering
• Wellingborough
• Daventry

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Saturday
• 5 shifts per week on a rota basis
• Minimum 8-hour shifts

Pay Rates

First 8 Hours

• £13.50 per hour PAYE
• £15.13 per hour PAYE Advanced

Overtime (After 8 Hours)

• £15.00 per hour PAYE
• £16.81 per hour PAYE Advanced

The Role

As a 7.5T Driver, you will be responsible for delivering home appliances directly to customers while providing a first-class customer experience.

Duties include:

• Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and professionally
• Delivering white goods to residential properties
• Assisting with appliance installation (full training provided if offered a permanent role)
• Working on single-manned or double-manned delivery routes
• Using lifting equipment supplied by the company
• Completing between 10 and 25 deliveries per day

What We’re Looking For
