Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in Swansea for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Temp to perm role, Monday to Friday, starting 08:00. You will drive, load/unload, and use software to update statuses while maintaining safety standards.

Applicants must hold a 7.5t entitlement, have 12 months experience, valid DCPC and Tachograph card, and clean licence with ≤6 points. Good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5t entitlement (CAT C1).
• Minimum 12 months driving experience required.
• DCPC and valid Tachograph card are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling including loading/unloading parcels at depots and client sites.
• Update delivery statuses using company software.
• Assist with movement of equipment or cages as needed.
• Perform yard manoeuvres and shunting with care.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Swansea area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours

Monday to Friday 08:00am starts

Pay Rates

£16.05 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £23.43ph PAYE

The role

• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• 12 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
