Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver for ongoing delivery work in Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area. You will multi-drop wholesale food products to schools, restaurants, care homes and other commercial customers.

Hours are typically 05:00/06:00 start, finishing around 14:00/15:00, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work. There is potential to move onto a permanent contract with salary and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV licence with C1/C entitlement.
• Digital Tachograph card valid.
• Driver CPC valid.
• Delivery experience on Class 2/HGV.
• Licence with max 6 points.
• No DD, DR or TT convictions.
• Knowledge of vehicle safety and defect reporting.
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled delivery routes and multi-drop runs.
• Carry out daily vehicle defect checks and ensure compliance.
• Load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Secure loads and maintain delivery documentation.
• Complete paperwork and obtain PODs when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Comply with WTD, tachograph and road transport legislation.

Job Description

HGV Drivers required for ongoing Class 2 delivery work across Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area.

You will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of wholesale food products to schools, restaurants, care homes and other commercial customers.

Duties will include:

• Completing scheduled delivery routes and multi-drop runs
• Carrying out daily vehicle defect checks and ensuring vehicle compliance
• Loading and unloading the vehicle safely and efficiently
• Securing loads appropriately and maintaining delivery documentation
• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining customer PODs where required
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
• Complying with all relevant WTD, tachograph and road transport legislation.

Hourly Rate: Earn £14.35 per hour.Opportunity to move onto a permanent contract offering a salary and company benefits.
