Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for ongoing temporary work covering Swadlincote and Burton areas. You'll drive a rear‑steer vehicle through local streets, working closely with loaders to collect household waste and recycling. There may be occasional loader duties beyond driving.

Shifts run 06:00–14:30, Monday to Friday, with weekends off. Starting immediately, applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC, plus a Tachograph card and no more than six

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• CPC qualification required.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence and no DD, DR, or IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a rear-steer vehicle through local residential streets, working with loaders to collect household waste and recycling.
• Mainly driving duties, with occasional assistance to loaders as needed.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure timely collections and customer service.

Fancy a change? Want early finishes and to go out with a crew of people rather than on your own?

We’re offering immediate starts for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team covering the Swadlincote and Burton areas.

In this role, you’ll drive a rear-steer vehicle through local residential streets, working closely with a team of loaders to collect household waste and recycling. While your main responsibility will be driving, please note that you may occasionally be required to assist loaders as needed.

Duration: Ongoing work available with an immediate start for the right canidate.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: These positions will pay £18.00 per hour.

Working Hours: You will be working through Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:30 with weekends off.
