Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers for a long-established waste and recycling operation in Swadlincote, England. This regular, Monday to Friday role offers consistent year-round work and competitive hourly pay.

Shifts start in the mornings with regular finish times. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes, work with loaders, complete checks and paperwork, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 license (Category C).
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver regulations.
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned routes.
• Follow route plans and daily instructions.
• Work with loaders and collection crews.
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and the public.

Salary: GBP16.08 - GBP24.12 per hour

The Best Connection Group is recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a long-established waste and recycling operation in Swadlincote. If you're looking for regular work, excellent rates of pay, and the security of an ongoing Monday to Friday role, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday (Days): £16.08 per hour
• Overtime after 8 hours: £24.12 per hour
• Saturday: £24.12 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £40.20 per hour
• 7.5 hours minimum pay guaranteed per shift
• Minimum Pay:7.5 hours per shift guaranteed

Shifts:

• Ongoing Monday to Friday work
• Early starts with regular finish times

The Role:

As a Refuse Driver, you'll be responsible for operating a Class 2 vehicle on planned collection routes across the local area while working closely with your crew.

Duties include:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes
• Following route plans and daily instructions
• Working alongside loaders and collection crews
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Maintaining a safe working environment for colleagues and the public
• Communicating with the transport team throughout the shift
• Ensuring compliance with tachograph and working time regulations
