Job summary

Gotpeople is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver for a client based in Watford and Radlett. The role involves multi-drop deliveries, manual handling, and excellent customer service throughout the shift.

Salary is £16.00 per hour PAYE (£18.00 via Umbrella) with a minimum of 8 hours guaranteed per shift. Monday to Friday day shifts and free on-site parking are available.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C)
• Full CPC and a digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence (excluding DR/DD/IN)
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, able to work safely and meet delivery schedules
• Must provide PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots)

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
• Assist with unloading pallets
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure deliveries comply with company policies and procedures

Position Overview

As an HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, providing exceptional customer service throughout. This role involves multi-drop deliveries and manual handling, including unloading pallets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
• Assist with unloading pallets
• Carry out dailyvehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Ensure all deliveries comply with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a high standard of customer service when interacting with clients
• Adhere to all relevant driver hours and road safety regulations

Candidate Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence - applications from new licence holders are welcome
• Possession of a full CPC and a digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD or IN endorsements)
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, with the ability to work safely and adhere to delivery schedules
• Must provide appropriate PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots)

Pay & Benefits
