Job summary

Grafters Recruit Ltd is seeking multiple committed Home delivery HGV 2 drivers to deliver IKEA furniture, either solo or with a Driver's Mate to assist lifting and shifting. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and safe, on-time deliveries across a 5 days on / 3 days off rota.

Shifts start early (5:30am to 12:00pm), with a £19.13 per hour rate, a £1,000 signing bonus after probation, on-site parking, and a permanent contract with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid in-date manual driving licence.
• No more than 6 points on driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• DBS check will be completed on the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Drive a HGV 2 in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic and vehicle legislation.
• Perform vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and report defects.
• Ensure the vehicle and stock are secured and delivered safely.
• Provide a first-class customer service experience.

Grafters Recruit are Looking for multiple committed Home delivery HGV 2 drivers delivering furniture for IKEA individually or alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better every day!.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Driving a HGV 2 in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
• Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
• Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured and delivered in a safe manner
• Always providing a first-class customer service experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting essential that you are physically able to lift items
• Valid in-date driving license manual licence
• No more than 6 points on driving license
• Previous experience in a multi drop role would be advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
• DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
