Job summary

HireGiant is seeking a reliable HGV 2 Driver for our client in Corby, with ongoing work leading to a permanent position. Expect 8–10 deliveries daily, targeting pubs and butchers, and safe operation of a class 2 curtain side trailer.

The role requires a valid HGV 2 licence, CPC and tachograph card, plus strapping and reversing competence. Training is provided for new drivers, with early start times and regular shifts.

• Strapping and reversing competence.
• New pass HGV 2 Drivers welcome – training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Completing deliveries to pubs and butchers.
• Driving the class 2 curtain side trailer safely.
• Handball of meat deliveries, boxed or hanging.
• Ensuring paperwork and PODs are completed accurately.
• Maintain excellent customer service as this is a customer-facing role.

Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm!The Role:

HireGiant are looking for a reliable and professional HGV 2 Driver to work with our client based in Corby. This is an ongoing role leading to a permanent opportunity for the right driver. You will be doing 8-10 deliveries per day.

Your responsibilities as a HGV 2 driver will include:

• Completing deliveries to pubs and butchers
• Driving the class 2 curtain side trailer in a safe manor
• Responsible of handball of all meat deliveries either hanging meat or in boxes
• Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards as this is a customer facing role.

Requirements for the Class 2 driver:

• Valid HGV 2 licence
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Strapping and Reversing competence
• New pass HGV 2 Drivers welcome – training and support provided

Hours & Pay for the Class 2 LGV Driver:

• Start time 05:00am - 07:00am
• Shifts: 8-10 hours depending on route
• PAYE Pay rate: £15.00 - £16.00PH
