Job summary

Aligra Didcot is seeking qualified HGV Class 1 drivers. The role focuses on safe operation of HGV1 vehicles, with shifts Monday to Thursday and occasional Fridays. Drivers benefit from paid training, including Driver CPCs, and routes that avoid long nights away from home.

There is no loading or unloading required; a guaranteed hours pattern and early finishes help work-life balance. Daily duties include safe driving, delivery checks, and proper documentation with customers.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 Licence valid and current.
• DQC card valid and up to date.
• Digital Tachograph usage and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles following legal and company requirements.
• Assist with loading supervision to ensure safe and secure loading.
• Complete deliveries with customer property respect and proper documentation.

Job description

We are currently looking for HGV 1 drivers that are looking for not only a competitively paid job, but those that also value work life balance.

Offering a range of shift options, a Monday to Thursday working pattern with only occasional Fridays, and no loading or unloading responsibilities—allowing you to focus on driving. You’ll also benefit from paid training, including Driver CPCs, and routes that do not require planned nights out, this is perfect for a driver that wants to know he is guaranteed a certain amount of hours but also, home in reasonable times.

Requirements;

• Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• License: no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in a similar driving role, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.

Daily Duties Include But Not Limited Too;

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with all legal and company requirements.
• Supervise the loading of vehicles to ensure goods are securely loaded and protected from damage.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, respecting customer property and consulting with customers or management where necessary.
• Check and confirm deliveries with customers, obtaining signatures and completing all required documentation.
• Use company-issued technology tablets) as part of daily operations.
