Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking a Community Project Coordinator to help deliver the Shildon and Newton Aycliffe Strategic Heritage Place Programme, a national Lottery-funded initiative. The role is temporary for 18 months, based at Locomotion in Shildon with hybrid working.

You will coordinate projects, support evaluation, build relationships with partners and communities, and contribute to events and communications across the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience of project coordination or management.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build positive relationships with partners, stakeholders and communities.
• Experience with community organisations, volunteers or partner networks.
• Interest in heritage, culture or place-based regeneration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support delivery of heritage projects and activities.
• Support evaluation and reporting to demonstrate progress and impact.
• Act as a key point of contact for partners and stakeholders.
• Contribute to events, communications and partnership activity across the programme.
• Support partners to develop skills, confidence and connections within the community.
