Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking a proactive Community Project Coordinator to help deliver the Shildon and Newton Aycliffe Strategic Heritage Place Programme. Based at Locomotion in Shildon with hybrid working, you will connect communities, heritage organisations and local stakeholders to develop impactful projects.

You will coordinate activities, support evaluation and reporting, and help build strong local relationships that sustain heritage-led regeneration and participation across all ages.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing community projects.
• Excellent organisational skills and record-keeping.
• Ability to build relationships with partners, volunteers and communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects and activities within the Shildon/Newton Aycliffe programme.
• Support stakeholder engagement and partnership activity.
• Assist with evaluation, reporting and communications for the programme.
• Support events and community involvement to engage heritage and regeneration.
