Job summary

Featherstone Rovers Foundation is seeking a Heritage Project Delivery Contributor to help preserve and celebrate our heritage in Featherstone. The role supports a 1-year fixed term, 18 hours per week, with flexible evenings/weekends as needed.

You will manage catalogs, run oral history initiatives with local communities, and coordinate volunteers alongside our Head of Foundation. The project oversees exhibitions and digital content, with reporting to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Qualifications

• Experience with collections management, cataloguing, and oral history.
• Strong project management and budget monitoring skills.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and public engagement.
• Interest in Rugby League, local history and mining communities.
• Experience with National Lottery Heritage Fund projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and care for a heritage archive of memorabilia, photographs, matchday programmes and documents.
• Run an oral history programme with former players, miners, supporters, and local residents.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers.
• Manage the project plan, budget, and National Lottery Heritage Fund reporting.
• Deliver exhibitions, events, and digital content.
